Testing Procedure:Moisten the test strip pad with sterile water (included in the kit) and dip the strip in the tank bottom sample. Note: shake sample before testing. Place the strip in the included plastic incubator bag and seal. Repeat with the second strip. Note: If there is visible water present in the bottom sample, do not shake the sample. Use the pipette (included in the kit) to capture the water. Squeeze the pipette as you lower it down to the water level. Then pinch the pipette bulb to allow water to enter. With the sample in pipette, remove and then squeeze this water over the test pads. Finally, place strips in bag. Allow 72 hours of incubation in a dark place, at a temperature between 74 deg to 86 deg F or 25 deg to 30 deg C Compare the test strip to the interpretation chart on the side of the corresponding container. There are 6 comparative pictures that show levels of micromicro-organisms present. If there is any indication of micromicro-organisms present, treat as per Dose Rate recommendations. It is recommended to test fuel storage tanks quarterly, and treat as required. By ensuring microBy micro-organisms are kept in check, fuel filter life can be extended and corrosive contaminants can be removed before they can harm the fuel system.
